Structural Engineering and Installation

1. How much does the fully loaded system weigh? Do I need to recalculate the building's statics?

Absolutely not, the weight is minimal and invariable. Unlike old planter systems that weigh up to 100 kg/sqm due to wet soil, our Dry-Tech system has an empty weight of only 10 kg/sqm. Even at full water and vegetative capacity, the guaranteed maximum load ranges between 30 and 40 kg per square meter. This exceptional lightness allows safe installation even on lightweight partitions such as plasterboard, eliminating the need for expensive and invasive seismic recalculations.

2. How is it fixed to the wall? Is there a risk of moisture or condensation on the wall?

The dry installation is carried out using a solid rack on galvanized uprights. This engineering method spaces the modules from the wall, automatically creating a 3-5 cm air chamber. This "Ventilated Facade" triggers an upward air motion (Chimney Effect) that insulates the building and radically eliminates any risk of stagnant moisture or interstitial condensation.

3. What are the worksite times? Do we have to stop business operations?

Zero downtime installation. We work following the "Zero Logistic Footprint" protocol. Unlike nurseries that bring pallets of soil, pipes, mud, and rubble to the site, our modules arrive pre-assembled and pre-vegetated. The coupling is purely mechanical and dry (no mortars or glues). This allows us to perform surgical installations in huge logistics hubs (e.g., leading e-commerce logistics centers) without ever stopping the passage of forklifts or interfering with the client's productivity.

Healthcare, Environment, and Maintenance

4. Why is it a suitable and chosen system for Hospitals and Clinical Environments (Healthcare)?

Because it prevents the pathogenic proliferation typical of traditional systems. Traditional vertical gardens use loose soil, which, when wet, generates mold and fungal spores (like Aspergillus), critical in medical wards. The Hydro® system uses hydroponic cultivation on inert technical fabric (Dry-Tech): it minimizes this risk factor. Due to this high safety, we were chosen to clad the Emergency Room of the Niguarda Hospital in Milan (Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Hub).

5. Why do you use a "synthetic grass" mantle? Isn't it unecological?

On the contrary, it is a masterpiece of functional bio-engineering. The polymeric mantle (100% recyclable) performs 3 vital functions that soil cannot do: 1) It acts as an electrostatic filter to trap urban Particulate Matter even before the leaves grow; 2) It acts as a thermal shield against UV rays, protecting the delicate living root system; 3) It guarantees the client a visually perfect green facade from "Day Zero", hiding the normal cycles of botanical replacement.

6. Who takes care of irrigation and high-altitude maintenance?

The system is autonomous. It integrates an automated fertigation system (IoT / Agriculture 3.0) managed by a control unit. Any local maintenance technician or gardener of the client can manage it following our protocols. Furthermore, thanks to the rack, every single 100x50cm module can be unhooked and individually inspected (in just 10 seconds), without having to dismantle entire portions of the facade.

7. What are the real thermal advantages in Summer and Winter (Energy Performance Regulations)?

It is a two-phase thermodynamic machine. In Winter: the empty hardware module guarantees a passive resistance certified by the Istituto Giordano equal to Rp=0.56 m²K/W (EN ISO 10211), improving the Thermal Transmittance of the wall. In Summer: technology dominates; leaf evapotranspiration and the ventilated cavity actively dissipate up to 377 W/m² of solar heat (Cooling Power), reducing the Periodic Thermal Transmittance and massively reducing air conditioning costs.

8. Does the system help the building obtain LEED or BREEAM credits?

Yes, it maximizes the building's ESG rating. The infrastructure has been validated by ENEA as a standard for the European Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). It directly contributes to the acquisition of vital credits in the LEED, BREEAM, and WELL Building Standard protocols for parameters relating to: Urban Heat Island (UHI) Reduction, Energy Efficiency, Acoustic Comfort (reduction of up to 60% of urban noise), and Access to Nature (Biophilia).
